I'm so embarassed

I started this blog as a way to keep family and friends up to date with our family, mostly Tessa {hence the name ;)}. You all supported us and prayed for her when we needed you most. I haven't forgotten that....

But life happened. CRAZY. It's amazing how fast time flys.

I can't believe Tessa will be 4 in four months. I can't believe that 4 years ago I was on and off bed rest awaiting the birth of a baby we prayed so hard for. I can't believe that God blessed us again and gave us Tristin. We are so blessed!

Tessa has started Preschool. She goes to public school...she's in a blended classroom. That means there are kids with special needs and "normal" kids. {Are ANY three year olds normal?? KIDDING!}

We struggled with this decision. BAD. I finally called the school 2 weeks before class was to begin and said she would not be joining them this year. A few hours later I had a voicemail from Tessa's would be teacher. I called her back. She started out by saying she had never in all her 8 years of teaching called a parent when they decided not to send their kid to school. She said something just told her she needed to call me. Um....that something was the sign I was praying for! I knew right then that Tessa was meant to go to school.

She has progressed more then I could have ever imagined! I kept her in a bubble WAY too long. Being with kids {her age} was seriously the BEST thing we could have done for her. Now don't get me wrong, for 6 months, 4 days a week, she cried screamed when I dropped her off. The first day was hard but then I thought about it. She will have soooo much more fun there. She does....more then I could have imagined.

Her teacher is always telling me how smart she REALLY smart. She gets that from her daddy though I think it has a lot to do with the fact we all read to her while she was in the NICU. :) Her memory is wicked! She can recall things you never thought she heard let alone would remember. It's actually scary at times ;)

Tristin is my little sassy girl. She is giving my a run for my money. She is on the move now and NEVER wants to be still. She can give you a CHEESE like nobodies business {total ham!} and LOVES her big sister. Though they seem to wrestle more then play....will that change!? Please say yes!She really is a great little chunk {we call her chunk despite me asking everyone to NOT call her that....I just don't want it to stick ;)}and is taking after her sister with the smarts. I love to just sit back and watch her....she is going to be a handful for probably the next 19 years! Lord help me!

Well enough of my bragging. Here are a few recent pics.

The girls LOVE to be outside and with Daddy there they are in heaven!

Tessa is standing so much better! Still not 100% on her own but here she doesn't have her orthotic braces on and is only getting a little support from the ottoman!!

Okay this pic KILLS me! Her school does Fall & Spring pics. This is Spring. I LOVE it because she is not longer giving the "duh...I don't feel like smiling" look {think mouth open blank stare catching flies} and is saying CHEEEESE though she looks more like a rabid wildcat {her school's mascot is a wildcat!} ;)

Couldn't you just EAT HER! I mean come on...she's one sweet little chunk!
{BTW Tessa is obsessed with Spiderman...been for months. Though she has never watched the cartoon or anything....except she did just watch the real one {with Toby McGuire} but wasn't too in to it}

When you say "Tristin say cheeeese" this is what you get. A bold old plate of CHEEEESE!

Easter Sunday fun with bubbles

Easter Sunday fun with boogers ;)

No we did not adopt a son :) though I'd take him in a heartbeat!
I was an only child for 24 years then mom and dad surprised me with a gift....a sibling!
{he's a preemie too! born at 32 weeks!}

  1. One day Tony and Tessa will dance to that song and I will cry like I do everytime I hear it. The girls are so blessed to have you both for parents. I am so proud of the both of you.
